2010 4WD Spectacular: Queanbeyan (Feb 13 – 14)

Posted by admin On February - 8 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

The aim of the Show is to encourage responsible and recreational use of four wheel drive vehicles in the Australian environment and to provide four wheel drivers or potential drivers with access to information and products that will encourage responsible outdoor activities. This event is held biennially and has been a great success for the clubs and exhibitors over the past fourteen years.

The Southern Tablelands 4WD Club, the ACT 4WD Club and the Land Rover Club of the ACT will again be raising funds for local charities.

This show is unique to our region and is definitely for 4WD and outdoor enthusiasts. With one in six vehicles sold in Australia a four-wheel drive vehicle, the potential interest in this event is enormous, particularly with the exhibitor support of the event.

Fundamentally, it will help to educate people with an understanding of the four wheel drive code of ethics and the value of belonging to a 4WD club.

  • Over one hundred 4WD vehicle and accessory exhibitions
  • The latest 4WD vehicle, many available to ride in on the test track
  • Camper Trailers
  • Tents and camping equipment
  • Special Show priced camping and 4WD products
  • 4WD accessories, Performance, and Recovery gear
  • Exciting 4WD track
  • Specially modified 4WD vehicles
  • 4WD and equipment education seminars
  • ACT and Regional 4WD Club Displays
  • Food Stalls and coffee tents
  • Activities for kids
  • Special show priced equipment and deals available
  • Free Parking
  • Camping on site for exhibitors

The event schedule will provide many static and action displays of four wheel drive activities and trials. Outback Challenge 2010 (May 21 – 28)

Outback Challenge LogoWant a really different 4wd holiday? Why not travel into the New South Wales Outback and catch the world’s best four wheel drivers compete for 8 days in the Outback 4×4 Challenge.

You get to travel on private property, only open for this event. There are great bush camping locations in the sandy country near Menindee or on the banks of the Darling river system.

Our guides or Spectator leaders as we know them are either experienced competitors or locals from the Broken Hill region so come with a wealth of knowledge. Spectators get up close to the action and also have the opportunity through their spectator leaders to chat to the competitors.

You can either sit on the sidelines and catch all the action – or if you wish, sit under a shady tree and read a book while the kids enjoy the Australian bush.

And don’t forget you will be helping to support the local outback region just by visiting!
